Throughout the six hour event, I had to chance to discuss the past, present, and future of Care for Kenya. I did several video interviews, including Do Something.org. There was a strong positive reaction to the beautiful fabrication and style of the garments, as well as the cause in general. The items that had more traditional African prints were especially well-received. The positive energy and enthusiasm for African culture and supporting its people was inspiring.  Guests of NOLCHA were pleasantly surprised to learn how all of the profits are being used to support both sustainable education and the Kenyan economy. Many guests were enthused by the idea of Kenyan women generating income through a field that supports creativity. Nearly  everyone I had the chance to speak with was extremely interested and supportive in the future of Care for Kenya. The amazing feedback from fashion industry professionals only further encouraged my passion for Care for Kenya’s cause and the Show Me Your Mumu collection.
